I was scrolling through my social media feed the other day when I discovered a horrifying article about Suicide Forest in Japan. I had heard of the forest before, but the article had twisted my stomach into knots. As I read, my mind began to feel heavy because there were so many heartbreaking stories of people who had gone to the forest to end their lives.
The article soon moved on to talking about sex dolls, and how they were being used to help prevent suicide attempts at the forest. I’d never heard of such a thing before, but I was intrigued. Apparently, these dolls had been donated by individuals and organizations alike, and were placed on the trails leading into the forest. The idea was that when someone approached the forest, they’d be drawn to these dolls which would be gently waiting for them, preventing them from making a terrible decision.
At first, I thought it was a weird idea. Why place dolls at a suicide forest? What benefit would it have? But then, I thought about it some more, and I realised that perhaps this was the only way to reach those who were at the peak of despair and were about to take their own lives. The thought of a kind, vibrators silent companion might be enough to give them a glimmer of hope.
As I thought more about it, I realised how revolutionary this concept was. Instead of relying solely on medical or psychiatric help, vibrators it was possible for emotional help to reach people in these extreme situations. The act was also symbolic in a way, like a reminder of humanity and kindness. No matter how alone and isolated you may feel, there are people around you who care.
Not only did this initiative change my perspective about sex dolls, but it also opened my eyes to the gravity of the suicide issue around the world. We don’t talk about it enough, and the problem rarely gets the attention it deserves. It needs to be addressed, and perhaps this act of kindness can be a positive first step towards addressing it.
What’s more, this idea isn’t restricted to the Suicide Forest in Japan. It can be taken to any area where suicide rates are high, and implemented to make a difference. I’m not sure if anyone has taken up this kind of initiative in other parts of the world, but I hope that more people will be inspired to do so.
The initiative in the Suicide Forest has made me realise just how powerful kindness can be. A simple act of kindness can be enough to prevent a person from taking their own life. It’s not something that anyone can take lightly. We need to spread the word about this, and advocate for the rights of those who are suffering from suicidal thoughts.
At first, I had no idea why sex dolls were being placed at a suicide forest. But, it’s changed the way I think about them, and I’m grateful for the wisdom contained in this strange idea. We need more acts of kindness like this, if we are to conquer suicide.
